Telling Time

With telling time, when saying an hour plus minutes(1-30) you say it with y(and) So Like 1:05, is una y cinco. When saying thirty, it turns to media. 2:30=dos y media. After you get passed thirty(31-59) you use menos, and the hour after the one you mean. 3:45 becomes cuatro menos quince, meaning four minus fifteen.

One o' five in the afternoon. When telling time, one becomes una. Then you use the rule, for number :01-:30. Afternoon is tarde. Also, since it there are two numbers, you use son las at the beginning of the sentence. Getting you:  Son las una y cinco de la tarde.

Two o' clock in the morning. Since it is just on the hour, you wouldn't use any of the y, media, or menos. Morning in Spanish is mañana. Since it is just two, and not any other added numbers, you just you es.  Es dos de la mañana.

Ten thirty at night. Since it is thirty, you would use -y media. Night in Spanish is noche. Since there are more numbers than just one, you use son las, again. Son las diez y media en la noche.

Two thirty-six in the morning. Since it is thirty-six, you use menos and the hour after. Also it is two numbers, so you use Son las. Son las tres menos veintitres de la mañana.
