She walked to the park. She is in the third box making it ella and caminar, caminó. Ella caminó a el parque.

We ate at the restaraunt. We is in the fourth box, making it nosotros, and conjugating comer, to comimos. Nosotros comimos a el restaurante.

Preterite tense is past tense at a specific time.

I was eating. You still do the same subject, I would change to yo. Was is a ser verb, and since you changed your subject in the first box, you conjugate using the first box.  Yo fui comida.

She went to eat. You subject chagne in the third box and conjugate using the third box. Ella fue a comer.

Ser and Ir conjugate the same way in the preterite tense.

Stem Changers

-ar and -er ending verbs do not have stem changers. Only -ir ending verbs do, and they only change when you conjugate using the third and sixth box.

She slept. Since she would have it conjugated in the sixth box, it would become a stem changer. Ella durió.

I held the baby. I would mean it conjugates in

the first box.

Yo dijé el bebé.

He heard you. The subject is he, so it would be conjugated in the third box. The -ír changes to an -yo. Ã‰l oyo tú.

I played the saxophone. Since these verbs change only in the first box, you would change the ending to que. Yo toque el saxofón.

I arrived at my home. Again, it only changes in the first box, changing to  -gue. Yo llegue a mi casa.

I started my work. Since the subject is I, it gets conjugated in the first box, so that the ending changes to -ce. Yo empece mi trabaja.

She wanted pizza. Wanted means querer, also a spelling changer. Since the subject is she, it would get conjugated in the third box, -ó. Ella quisó pizza.

We walked to school. To walk (andar) is a spelling changer. It gets changed in the fourth box, due to the subject, we. Nosotros anduvimos a escuela.
